Whereas facilities like Oakland’s Domain Awareness Center are an affront
to our 1st and 4th Amendment constitutional rights, and
Whereas, like Stop & Frisk and similar tactics, state surveillance of
citizenry will inevitably be deployed in black and brown communities
extensively and disproportionately, and
Whereas, the state can never be trusted to regulate itself in its use
Therefore the Justice 4 Alan Blueford Coalition unconditionally
opposes the construction of Oakland’s Domain Awareness Center and any
similar integration of surveillance data.
